Our learners at Luton Learning Centre
Patience Katsangu
“I would like to take this opportunity to
express my views on the experience and achievement I benefited from
attending The Learning Centre. The main reason I attended IT
in computers, was from a glimpse of seeing my husband do all his
assignments and projects, with all the skills he learnt from the
Luton Learning Centre. I am starting University, the main
reason I decided to register with Luton Learning Centre. I
achieved Word, Excel, as well as Desktop Publishing, which I
completed in two months.
I enjoyed every moment of my learning
experience, because they have flexible times to suit different
individuals. I have confidence to tackle my assignments in
line with my University studies with the knowledge I gained.
The tutors are excellent, patient and always willing to help, the
atmosphere on the whole is quiet and every individual who attends
the Learning Centre is geared with an objective to get on with
modules as per their choice.
With the growing hardships of unemployment in
the Industry, I am now confident to work as an assistant in an
Internet Cafe; it only leaves me to say no other better words to
express my gratitude to the committed tutors, Angela and the rest
of the staff members for their continued support always towards all
students involved... Thank you very much.”

I’m a receptionist at the moment and I want to
get more skills so I can move forward at work. As I work part
time I come here in the morning and work in the afternoon.
I’ve already learnt a great deal and picked up a lot of new stuff.
I’m much more confident back at work when I’m on the PC. I
enjoy all the typing and inserting images.
I’m going to go on and do the next level and
my employers are really pleased that I’ve gained more experience
and knowledge. The staff at the Centre are very helpful and
make it very enjoyable.

I first came to the Centre to do my Level 1 10 years ago and I
decided to come back to refresh my skills and I know that software
changes. I wanted extra knowledge and found this course to be
very good. I come for two sessions on a Thursday as it fits
in with my life and I really enjoy it.
I want to continue to the next level as I want to keep up with
my grandchildren. I’ve found it really helps with my
photographs as I’ve been able to set up different folders and
albums of the children at different ages as they’ve grown up.

I lost my job working for a charity due to
lack of funding and I’m now looking for work so I wanted to keep my
skills up to date. I volunteer at the moment, both as
something to do and as a way to help people so we all win.
I’ve found that when I go to interviews employers are really
impressed that I’ve used my initiative and I’m doing this in my own
time. It also looks good on my CV.
I really enjoy learning, and I really enjoy
being at the centre and it’s my second time here in 2 years.
I’ve used some of the skills I’ve learnt here to help others in my
volunteering role. I’ve also told friends and colleagues
about the centre and the courses here.
